The first photo of Belle and the Beast proved that the “tale as old as time” will always be timeless.
The magazine cover shot obtained by Entertainment Weekly features one of the most classic scenes of “Beauty and the Beast.”
Belle, played by Emma Watson, and the Beast, portrayed by Dan Stevens, were photographed gracefully dancing inside the stellar Baroque-style castle.
The astute heroine was clothed in a delicate yellow ball gown while the Beast wore his iconic navy blue coat.
When the original animated film aired in 1991, the “Harry Potter” alumna was one of the kids electrified by the magical Disney tale.
“I can’t even think how many times I watched it as a child,” Watson told the news site.
“I knew all the words by heart. I knew all the songs by heart.”
The movie, directed by Bill Condon, will also star Ian McKellan as Cogsworth the clock, Ewan McGregor as Lumière the candle, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, and Luke Evans as Gaston, Belle’s braggart suitor.
The film will premiere in global theatres on March 17, 2017. The movie’s trailers were released in September.
