Ruby Lin, who leapt to fame after starring in the hit Chinese TV series Princess Pearl, is now officially a mother.
The actress gave birth to her first child with husband, actor Wallace Huo, on Friday (Jan 6).
According to Hong Kong news website Apple Daily, the baby girl, who was 50cm long and weighed 3.3 kg, was born via Caesarean at the Chung Shan Hospital in Taipei.
In a Facebook post, Lin announced the arrival of her daughter by sharing a photo of a little footprint, along with the caption: “Welcome, our little angel”.
She also told Apple Daily that the girl had inherited dimples from both her parents. “We both have one dimple on each side, and she has two. It’s so fun!”
The new mother also revealed that her husband has been constantly carrying the baby girl and has been unwilling to put her down.
Lin, 40, and Huo, 37, were married in July last year, just two months after announcing their romance in May. Before getting together, the couple had been friends for 10 years.
Fans had speculated that Lin would be giving birth to a girl since last October, when she shared a picture of pink balloons on Facebook.
