Hong Kong superstar Aaron Kwok showed he is a man of his word after he was reminded of his promise that every citizen in the region would get an ang pow from him after he is married, China Press reported.
In an interview on the third day of Chinese New Year, Kwok, when asked to address his “promise” made to Hong Kong citizens 24 years ago, said it had been such a long time since he said that.
“Back then I was just a kid. Now I’m much older, I’ll surely keep my promise.
“But I don’t think it is possible for me to go to every house to hand out ang pow.
“Instead, I will donate the money for the ang pow and share this blessing with others,” he said, adding that he hoped to contribute to the United Nations Children’s Fund.
