SINGAPORE — An 81-year-old man has died from dengue, after being warded two weeks ago, said the Health Ministry (MOH) and the National Environment Agency (NEA) in a joint statement on Tuesday (Nov 8).

The man, who lived in Mandai Estate, died on Monday after his condition deteriorated, said the MOH and NEA. He was warded in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

The patient’s residence at Mandai Estate is not an active dengue cluster.

Vector control operations to kill adult mosquitoes and destroy any potential breeding habitats are ongoing, they said.
