SINGAPORE: An 81-year-old Singaporean has died from dengue, the Ministry of Health (MOH) and National Environment Agency (NEA) announced on Tuesday (Nov 8).
He was admitted to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital on Oct 25 but his condition deteriorated and he died on Monday, they said in a joint news release.
The patient lived at Mandai Estate, which is not an active dengue cluster, NEA said.
This is the ninth fatality from dengue in Singapore this year.
