Myanmar flyweight Ye Thway Ne returned to action in ONE Championship with a decisive victory over 19-year-old Saw Thar Nge at ONE: HERO’S DREAM, live from the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon.

The lethwei star and two-time 51kg Gold Belt Champion showcased his stand-up skills with a relentless display of striking that overwhelmed his fellow countryman.

Ye Thway Ne took charge of the contest from the first bell, as he seized the center of the cage and looked to push the pace early on against his younger opponent, forcing Saw Thar Nge onto the back foot in the opening stages.

Both men were content to stand and trade, as the crowd in Yangon were treated to some entertaining opening exchanges. But as the round progressed, the superior experience of Ye Thway Ne started to take hold as the 20-year-old began to dominate.

The two-time Gold Belt champion continued to walk down Saw Thar Nge. He threw heavy punches and worked both the body and the head with regularity, before finishing a multi-punch combination with a huge left hand that ultimately sent his opponent crashing to the canvas for the KO.

The finish came at the 3:50 mark of the first stanza. Ye Thway Ne made a statement in Yangon, claiming his second-straight win in the cage with a spectacular victory on home soil.
