SINGAPORE – English singer-songwriter Sting will return to the Singapore Indoor Stadium on May 28 next year, in support of his latest pop-rock album entitled 57th & 9th.
The 65-year-old, who is also known for his work with British new wave band The Police, last performed here four years ago at the same venue.
Tickets for the gig start at $108 and will go on sale to the public on Dec 15, Cherrytree Management and Live Nation Lushington announced today.
Advance tickets will be available to members of the official Sting.com fan club from 10am on Dec 9 till 11.59pm on Dec 10. Details can be found at www.sting.com/tour and fan club pre-sale tickets are only sold online at www.sportshub.tix.sg.
During the tour, Sting will be joined by a 3-piece band including long-time guitarist, Dominic Miller, drummer Josh Freese and guitarist Rufus Miller. His son, Joe Sumner, who also fronts rock band Fiction Plane, will be a special guest.
The 65-year-old musician released his twelfth solo studio album, 57th & 9th, on Nov 11, marking his first rock/pop project in over a decade.
