She may only be 17, but Taiwanese musician Ouyang Nana has already made it onto the international stage.
Last Sunday (Dec 3), the teen was featured playing the cello during Wiz Khalifa’s performance of “See You Again” at the 2018 Breakthrough Prize Awards ceremony held at NASA Ames Research Center in California.
After the show, the sweet-looking lass, who was the first Asian to perform at the event, attracted lots of attention online.
Although Ouyang may an unfamiliar face to most people now, the young cellist is no stranger to show business, and is already signed to a record company – Universal Music Group.
Ouyang was trained in classical music in her home country before furthering her studies at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in the United States at the tender age of 13.
It appears that her talents extend beyond music, as she first came under the spotlight for her role in the romance film A Beijing Love Story in 2014.
She eventually dropped out of Curtis to pursue a career in acting.
Born into a family of entertainers, Ouyang is the daughter of veteran Taiwan actors Ouyang Long and Fu Juan, as well as the niece of renowned singer Ouyang Feifei.
And with her playing the role of Jackie Chan’s daughter in his upcoming action sci-fi film “Bleeding Steel”, the future seems bright for this young musician-actress.
