Hong Kong action superstar Jackie Chan defeated his opponent, putting his latest bomb, Kung Fu Yoga, at the top of the local box office top of the Lunar New Year weekend.
From Friday to Monday, it won $ 1.85 million, beating other films, such as the local film Take 2, produced by Jack Neo; and the Fortune Handbook starring Mr. Li Keqiang, Mark Lee and Li Nanxing.
Kung Fu Yoga, a comedic action film, which played the role of archaeologist in the rest of the world looking for a long-lost Indian treasure, has also become the biggest opening weekend of the actor in Singapore – it took from last Thursday’s $ 1.37 million Sunday.
His next best performing film here is Dragon Blade (2015), which earned $ 1.35 million during the opening weekend, also during the Lunar New Year.
