The former lover of action star Jackie Chan, Elaine Ng Yi-lei, was detained by Hong Kong police for 17 hours after their 17-year-old daughter accused her of criminal intimidation.
China Press reported that this was the second time the daughter of the former beauty queen had called the police to arrest her own mother.
The first time was in 2015, when the daughter, Etta, accused Ng of physically abusing her.
Ng, 44, told the media this time that Etta called the police on Friday after she questioned her daughter about her friends.

She said she found it odd that Etta would lock the door of her room whenever she brought home a female friend, who is in her 20s.
Etta, who would not explain herself, called the police instead.

After spending a night being questioned by police, Ng emerged looking “haggard”, Apple Daily reported.
But a series of videos taken the days after showed a recharged Ng who seemed to have moved on from the incident.
“It’s a small matter,” she repeated as reporters and photographers approached her in her apartment block’s parking lot.
“I’m learning to have better temper. My temper has always been very bad,” she said with a laugh.
She also insisted that she was not angry with her daughter because as they are mother and daughter after all.

Explaining that her words can be harsh during arguments, Ng said she was still learning how to be a better parent.
While she admitted that both her and her daughter had made mistakes, she also insisted that there was no need to talk about forgiveness. “We are family,” she said.
“Please give me some space and it will be solvable,” she pleaded, video footage published by E Media Plus showed.

Etta has remained silent since the news broke. Her last Facebook update on Mar 23 read: “This is either really stupid or the bravest thing I will do”.
When asked about her daughter’s whereabouts, Ng declined to reveal any information except that she was in “a safe place”.
