IF POLICE QUESTION YOUR CHILD, TEACH HIM TO REMAIN SILENT UNTIL HELP ARRIVES
1 March 2016 | 3:35 pm

About the recent case about the boy who was questioned by police and later jumped down, I have a suggestion.

I recently read mrbrown's comment saying that we should teach our children to keep quiet when questioned by the police until parents or lawyers arrive. I think that may be the only way normal citizens like us can deal with the police who think they can get easy confessions out of us.

Under the law we should be granted the right to remain silent in order to not wrongly confess to things we didn't do. even if we did do wrong, we shouldn't have to face the police without legal counsel.

I believe parents must be smarter and start to teach their children to ignore police questioning until police are forced to give them access to an adult.
