SINGAPORE – Mediacorp Channel 8’s year-end blockbuster production for 2015, The Dream Makers II, became the big winner at part 2 of this year’s Star Awards on Sunday (April 24), grabbing seven awards, including that for Best Drama, Best Actor and Best Actress.
It’s no understatement to say that the night was dominated by The Dream Makers II, since the other two awards given out that night were based on viewership ratings. Tiger Mum and Getai Challenge won “Top Rated Drama Serial” and “Top Rated Variety Programme” respectively.
Also given out at the ceremony was the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes.
The winners for the night are:
Best theme song – “Finally”, performed by Kit Chan (The Dream Makers II)
Top Rated Drama Serial – Tiger Mum
Top Rated Variety Programme – Getai Challenge
Young Talent – Damien Teo (2nd consecutive win, The Dream Makers II)
Best Supporting Actress – Julie Tan (The Dream Makers II)
Best Supporting Actor – Zhang Zhen Huan (The Dream Makers II)
Best Drama Serial – The Dream Makers II
Best Actor – Qi Yuwu (The Dream Makers II)
Best Actress – Jeanette Aw (The Dream Makers II)
Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes – Aloysius Pang, Zheng Geping, Shane Pow, Dennis Chew, Xu Bin
