COE prices close mostly lower in Dec's first round bidding exercise

SINGAPORE – Prices across the different Certificates of Entitlement (COEs) categories mostly fell in December after the first round of bidding.

The COE price for cars in category A – 1,600cc and 97kW – fell from $50,951 to $48,000.

There was a similar plunge in Cat B, D and E.

Premiums for cars above 1,600cc or 97kW dropped $53,001 to $46,229, while motorcycle COE prices went down from $6,212 to $6,113.

Vehicles in the open category, Cat E, fell from $6,212 to $6,113.

The only exception was goods vehicles and buses in Cat C, increasing to $51,209 from $49,002.
