Fans of Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau can heave a sigh of relief as the actor will not need to go for an operation for the fractures he sustained during a filming accident this week.
Lau, 55, who was thrown off a horse during a filming accident in Thailand, was reported to have sustained injuries to his pelvis and back.
He currently relies on painkillers to relieve the pain.
Transferred to a Hong Kong hospital on Jan 18, he is expected to be discharged after the observation period.
According to Apple Daily, Lau’s doctors said he did not need to go under the knife, but recommended that he be fitted with a cast. However, Lau is reportedly not intending on getting a cast, and hopes to seek a bonesetter’s help instead.
